As an artist, I strive to create paintings that capture the essence of a location, rather than simply replicating a scene. To achieve this, I use a unique technique that involves building layers of paint and cold wax medium, then selectively scraping and dissolving away areas to reveal what lies beneath. This process creates a complex surface that is both intriguing and visually captivating.

My paintings are not based on any one specific location, but rather on the tremendous beauty that can be found all around us. I find inspiration in the way light falls on a particular scene, the texture of the earth or the movement of the water. Through my paintings, I aim to transport the viewer to a place where they can experience the beauty of nature and appreciate the world around them in a new way.

I am constantly seeking out new sources of inspiration, and I find that my surroundings provide an endless source of creative energy. Whether it’s the textures and colours of a crumbling city wall or the subtle variations in the light filtering through a forest canopy, there is always something new to discover and explore. I believe that art has the power to transform the way we see the world around us.
